Two-Tier Cabinet with Ruyi-Head Pattern

On every door panel, upper and lower, ruyi-head motifs are carved in neat checkerboard rows. The ruyi is an auspicious sign — "may things go as you wish" — yet the carved shape is unmistakably a heart, and everyone who notices smiles.
