Late Joseon Hyanggyo Two-Tier Seotak

A two-tier writing table once used at a provincial hyanggyo — a Confucian academy. Four shallow drawers sit in a row beneath the long top, with one long shelf running below. Furniture from a place of learning, composed in its bones.

Accession no. 0002 — together with the Gyeonggi bookcase (no. 0001), it guarded the very beginning of this collection. A number long left empty is filled at last.
